Oh the eternal,
painful,
puzzling,
maddening question
Why?
One word
With a million answers
and
a million theories
dancing in our heads
For a one word query
Why?
We so often implore
heartbreakingly
In agony
over and over
For let's be honest
Even when an answer
Shows itself definitively
We deny,
denounce,
decide in our heads
That it isn't true
For how can it be
Why?
Is it so?
And thus begins a new
quest to find
The answer to
Why?
